The Villa and Location
Anyone who knows Carvoeiro well, knows about the brilliant villas to be discovered around the resort centre, and even the most modest property offers space, privacy and a sensible layout, they make an excellent base for a perfect family holiday. Casa do Jardim is no exception and it also happens to be very handily located close to Vale Covo beach, beside the Carvoeiro Tivoli Hotel and it’s no more than a 20 minutes stroll into the centre of town for a wide choice of shops and restaurants, an ideal pre-dinner stroll.
Most of the villas in this area were built by Jorge de Lagos and his designs always include spacious and well proportioned rooms that flow logically. A master bedroom with en suite bathroom and several guest rooms, built-in storage and dressing tables, access from almost every room onto the enclosed and secluded pool terrace. On the terrace there’ll be a spot or two for shaded outdoor dining by the pool, a built-in barbecue and a private roof terrace where you can enjoy views to the sea and an impressive entrance that makes you feel like you've arrived.
Within a short drive of the villa is the Vale do Milho golf club, it's a challenging 9-hole course with fabulous views especially from the clubhouse, also a favourite with non-golfers for good value lunches and drinks in the restaurant and bar. Just a little further west is the stunning Centianes beach, it has a swathe of golden sand backed by golden cliffs and there's a good beach restaurant there too and just up the road is the Rocha Brava resort, it has a cafe, a family restaurant and supermarket plus a good tennis centre with courts for hire and coaching, if you need it.
Whilst it's pool or beach during the day, in the evening everyone enjoys a walk to try a new restaurant or an old favourite, many enjoy the easy walk into town for a wider choice of amenities and catch the road train or a taxi back, although it’s not a struggle to walk.
Accommodation
The master bedroom has a king-size bed, built-in robes and vanity unit, air con and en suite bathroom with over-bath shower. At the other side of the villa are the guest rooms, two twin bedrooms, each with built-in robes and air con; family bathroom with over-bath shower.
Attractive kitchen with authentic Alentejo tiles, which are making a big comeback, it has all you need even for serious cooks, there’s also a pantry with the fridge freezer. Large living and dining room with a comfortable rattan suite, there’s a TV equipped with Chromecast, a stereo and log burner for cosy nights during the colder months.
Doors open to the swimming pool and the terrace, there’s lots of space for lounging in the sun, a shaded dining area by the villa and a traditional diner beside the built-in charcoal barbecue as well as plenty of garden where children can play in the enclosed grounds.
