The Villa and Location

It’s not everyday that I come across a little cottage that blows my socks off but this property literally did. Cute, very attractive and comfortable inside but its location is incredible, set on the edge of the cliff-top village of Benagil with incredible sea views that you’ll never tire of and there’s a large communal pool too that shares the same views so there’s no trade off between swim or view. 

Benagil is a small community to the east of Carvoeiro, popular for its beautiful sandy beach and stunning rock formations and for the selection of restaurants that all seem to have wonderful views. Access to the beach is quickest down the footpath in the village descending down steps and walkways to the pristine sands below, don’t think of driving as parking near the beach is very limited and can be nigh-on impossible in season. Carvoeiro is within an easy 10-minute drive for a huge selection of shops and restaurants, large supermarkets (towards Lagoa) and loads more wonderful beaches along the coastline that really are worth exploring.

Accommodation

The master bedroom has twin mattresses on a large base, which means it can be made up as a super king-size bed or twin beds to suit you. Built-in robes with a safe, air con, doors to a small terrace by the entrance and en suite shower room. Small double bedroom with hanging space and shelves for storage and air con. Family bathroom with over-bath shower.

Open-plan family room featuring a well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, dining table and comfortable lounge with music, TV and DVD player for entertainment. Sliding doors from the kitchen and lounge open to the terrace, and what a terrace; the built-in barbecue and retractable awning make it a lovely spot for dining in the fresh air with a deck and small lawn to position your lounger for optimum sun exposure. But what makes this terrace special are to incredible panoramic views, due south over the Atlantic ocean and the coastline. 

The cottage also has a large roof terrace where the views are even more dramatic as you gain a little more height, ideal for lounging in the sun, dining or sundowners. Also in the community is a large pool that shares the same wonderful views and you have ample parking.
